bij at / near Ik woon bij het station. — I live near the station.
naar to (direction) Ik ga naar school. — I go to school.
van from / of Ik kom van het werk. — I come from work.
uit from / out of Zij komt uit Nederland. — She comes from the Netherlands.
naast next to De bank is naast het postkantoor. — The bank is next to the post office.
voor in front of De auto staat voor het huis. — The car is in front of the house.
achter behind De tuin is achter het huis. — The garden is behind the house.
tussen between Het park is tussen de school en de kerk. — The park is between the school and the church.
onder under De kat zit onder de tafel. — The cat sits under the table.
boven above De lamp hangt boven de tafel. — The lamp hangs above the table.

om at (time) De les begint om negen uur. — The lesson starts at nine.
op on (days) Ik werk op maandag. — I work on Monday.
in in (months, seasons, years) In januari is het koud. — In January it is cold.
van … tot from … to Van maandag tot vrijdag. — From Monday to Friday.
na after Na het eten ga ik slapen. — After dinner I go to sleep.
voor before Voor acht uur ben ik thuis. — Before eight I am home.
sinds since Ik woon hier sinds 2020. — I have lived here since 2020.
